Sovereign Performing Arts Center, Reading, PA

Renovation of the historic “Rajah” Masonic Temple to the Sovereign Center for the Performing Arts Center included new dressing /restroom addition, new fly space, stage rigging light and stage surface. The balcony was completely reconstructed to accommodate HVAC, sprinklers and larger seating. Historic paint analysis and mural restoration were also completed.

Restoration of the grand lobby, banquet lobby, performance area, house, balcony, and dressing rooms, meeting ADA compliance. The project provided a new fire protection system in a historically significant, nonsprinklered building, as well as all new plumbing. Code analysis and variances were required.
